Different cycling kit through the years.....

I've been around a while now, and have tried it all. Different cycling kit at different levels, some cheap, some expensive.
I've experienced it all and those experiences lead me to what I know now.
Good gear should breath, wicking the moisture away from your skin and drying quickly, so when you get to the top of those hills your not soaking, and then not freezing on the downhill.
Quality cycling jerseys and bib shorts should last, wash after wash. As long as you follow washing instructions. The fabric should not be see through after a month!
High quality fabrics stretch in the right directions, 4 way stretch is the marketing jargon used. Basically it means it will give in the right way. It will hold its shape after months of use.
We always work with customers to produce clothing that suits their needs. Super light weight aero kit is fast and amazing to wear, but it may not have the same abrasion resistance as our everyday cycling jerseys and bib shorts. Take this into account if you want to ride in it most days.
Quality bib shorts material has compression qualities. It should feel reasonably firm on your muscles. It should have high abrasion and obviously it needs to be tougher than jersey fabrics.
You can feel the difference between gear as soon as you pick it up. I know from riding extensively in Spoke and Stone cycling jerseys and bib shorts that the are extremely comfortable, they feel amazing on. You don't get that sweaty gladwrap feel you get with cheap clothing.
